Back in July of 2010 after our third IVF attempt which did not work, we put our papers in with LDS Family Services for adoption. We went to the Conference in August and went to some classes on Foster Care. We both left there feeling that we needed to look into Foster Care more. We did some resesarch and signed up for the classes. We took the classes to become a Licensed Foster Care in September and had our license the end of October 2010. We met with our RFC November 29 @ 4:00 PM and she went over all of our preferences with us and said to us that she would put us in the system tomorrow for placement. Well November 30th at 8:30 AM I got a call from intake that they had two little hispanic girls that were sisters and if we wanted them. I called Mike and was in shock. I called them back and told them that YES we would take these two little girls. They arrived at our home that afternoon. I was so nervous to meet them. Kayda was 6 months old and Elle just had turned 2 years old. It is now September 2011 and we still have the girls. They are our girls. Part of our family. We went to court and the judge terminated mothers rights. Their mom filed an appeal and that was denied. We are now just waiting on an adoption date which we hope will be soon. We are ready to have these girls be in our family forever and not have to wonder any longer. I will update more as I know more and for an adoption date.
