Allergies

My poor little guy has been so miserable with itchy eyes, runny nose and a horrific cough. I finally got him into an allergist to find out what he is allergic too and also if he has asthma (the cough). He was such a good sport at the allergist. We got there and he is always hesitant of doctors offices, so he stayed right by my side. When they do allergy testing, they took us into a room that had a lot of toys and a tv with videos that we could watch to try to keep his mind off of the itchyness from the scratch test. The nurse came in and put dots on his back, then had to scratch his back with a pin type thing. She told Alex it was a "kitty cat" walking on his back. It was so cute. Whenever he saw anyone, he would point to his back and make sure that they knew there was a "kitty cat" on his back. To this day, he still remembers the "kitty cat". He was very good not to scratch his back. We did find out that he is allergic to weeds (great...have you seen where we live?), and dogs - (this boy loves his dogs roxie and skidz...what to do?!). They gave him eye drops for his eyes, a nose spray, and two inhalers for asthma to top it all off. Whew..poor kid.
