PRE CHRISTMAS EVE...
We had the annual ROWBERRY Christmas Party. The food was INCREDIBLE (thanks Holts)...they had cafe rio style (yes, they made it themselves) and it was to die for...YUM! Then Santa came and Alex was interested in him, until the little girl before him started crying, then he wasn't too sure, and of course I forgot my camera, so I will get a picture from Sheri and post it later.
CHRISTMAS EVE...
Christmas Eve we went over to Grandpa and Grandma Rowberrys house and did our Christmas.
We ate yummy food and even burned a YULE log (Thanks Mom..that was fun..good tradition).
Alex loved opening up his presents and here is what he got that night:
1. Trucks...trucks...trucks..
(these were a hit. they make noise and go by themselves. He has to have them all lined up in a row too...and if you get them out of line, he starts all over. Infact, these are what woke us up on christmas morning..Alex playing with his trucks in his room...it was cute).
2. Mr. Potatoe Head
(I think me and Robyn enjoyed playing with this more than Alex. He'll learn quickly how fun Mr. Potatoe head is.)
3. Black & Decker Tool Bench/Set
(His face lit up when he saw this..now he can be like daddy and HELP. He is such a good helper. He wanted to open it,and we didn't want to get parts everywhere so we had to hide it until we got home).
CHRISTMAS DAY...
It all started at 7:00AM. Alex woke us up with the sound of his trucks. Mike got the camcorder before I came out with Alex. He would open up a present and was done..He didn't care there were other presents under the tree for him. He just was interested in what he just unwrapped...it eventually turned to me opening up his presents. Here is what Santa brought him
1. Thomas the Train Remote Control
(He actually had seen this earlier...and unwrapped it and cried when we took it away..so we knew Santa did a good job.)
2. Percy Push and Go
(You push the conductor down and watch Percy Go..yes, we watch Thomas the Train)
3. Batman Bop Bag
(These blow up punching bags were fun when we were kids, so Santa got Alex one. He LOVES it. It's so funny to watch him with it and his sound effects.)
4. Shopping Cart w/ Food
(He plays with our friend Lucys shopping cart, so Santa decided to get him one this year. He pushes it around all over the house and loves to chase the dogs with it. Now, we have taught him about pretend and we pretend to eat the crackers. He'll even feed the dogs Pretend crackers and cookies and laugh because the dogs think he's giving them something).
5. Remote Control Helicopter
(Okay...first this was "for alex", but it was really for "daddy". It doesn't fly as well as we thought it would, but Mike was excited for his helicopter).
6. Football
(When we saw this in the store, Alex would not put it down. He didn't care about any of the other toys surrounding him at KB Toys, but just wanted the football. He would just kick it all around the store...what a boy).
7. Tunnel
(Santa brought him a tunnel that he crawls through. He plays with it and will crawl through and hide from me. I even chase him through it as do the dogs.)
8. Brick Builders
(We built him a garage with these brick builders for his trucks)
9. Business Card Holder & Pink CD
(These are not for Alex, but what I got for Christmas from Mike. Thanks to barbara who gave him the business card holder. I love it and it will be perfect to carry my business cards in (www.RowberrysBathandBody.com) and the PINK cd is my favorite.)
After we did our christmas, we went to my moms house for breakfast and to exchange gifts. Alex got...
1. More TRUCKS...from Ashlyn, Abbey and Weston (he loves these trucks...he pushes them around and makes the sound effects vroomm...it's pretty cute. He is all boy!)
2. Noah's Ark ... from Grandpa and Grandma Lasater. He loves the animals. We have played with this early morning in his room...and make the animal noises.)
3. I got new levis and a sweater and sheets and Mike got levis, shirts.
CHRISTMAS DAY...AFTERNOON..
After we left and headed for home, the weather was horrible. We got more snow in Saratoga Springs, than up in South Jordan. We barely made it into our subdivision and we got stuck turning into our driveway, so our car was on the road, stuck in the middle. Thanks to our neighbors Laidlaws who helped tow the car out. I have provided you with some awesome footage of the action. LOL.
